Gamescom Visual Update!
IT’S GAMESCOM WEEK, BABY!
We’re not there, but we thought “Heck, why not celebrate and update our game to look its best?”. So here is the product of that, Metavoidal in its Sunday Best.
Or at least it’s Friday Night Formal Casual outfit. Let’s manage your expectations a bit.
This is specifically a visual update, so here’s what we’ve done:
- Little baby enemies to make the intro to the game a bit easier. They are cute. Watch them pop in horrifying 0.4K detail.
- A new starting level that’s a bit quicker so you get your first perk sooner.
- A better map, with refined fog of war and pretty icons!
- A new main menu.
- You can see most props in the dark now. (But baddies and chests are hidden)
- General level design iteration.
- Items and entities should stand out clearer from the rest of the level.
- Secret cow level 🐄
There will still be bugs, we are only human beings (albeit dead inside) and a few whacky things might happen. In those cases, please pop a comment on the Itch page, tweet at us, send a DM on Instagram, send a carrier pidgeon, join our Discord, whatever the platform send us the feedback wherever you can find us!*
*Smoke signals do not work, our fire to the home provider has had issues as of late
